چکیده

The use of a virtual architecture in wireless sensor networks provides a powerful and fast partitioning into a set of clusters, each being locatable in space by the sink or base station (BS for short). We first propose a protocol for the detection of empty clusters due to poor distribution of sensors or in low-density network. After this detection, we propose a strategy to allow mobile sensors (actuators) to move to position themselves on empty clusters in order to improve the routing of collected data. Key Works: Wireless Sensor-Actuator Networks, Virtual Architecture.

Wireless sensor network design through genetic algorithm

In this paper, we study WSN design, as a multi-objective optimization problem using GA technique. We study the effects of GA parameters including population size, selection and crossover method and mutation probability on the design. Choosing suitable parameters is a trade-off between different network criteria and characteristics. Type of deployment, effect of network size, radio communication...

Quasi Random Deployment Strategy for Reliable Communication Backbones in Wireless Sensor Networks

Topology construction and topology maintenance are significant sub-problems of topology control. Spanning tree based algorithms for topology control are basically transmission range based type construction algorithms. The construction of an effective backbone, however, is indirectly related to the placement of nodes. Also, the dependence of network reliability on the communication path undertak...

A multi-channel architecture for IPv6-enabled wireless sensor and actuator networks featuring PnP support

Wireless sensor and actuator networks provide a distributed system composed of wirelessly connected smart sensor and actuator nodes, suitable for cost-efficient control applications. An important research challenge is deployment, where features like node auto-configuration, unattended operation, and Internet connectivity are becoming mandatory. Moreover, on off-the-shelf solutions the user typi...

Design and evaluation of two distributed methods for sensors placement in Wireless Sensor Networks

Adequate coverage is one of the main problems for distributed wireless sensor networks and The effectiveness of that highly depends on the sensor deployment scheme. Given a finite number of sensors, optimizing the sensor deployment will provide sufficient sensor coverage and save power of sensors for movement to target location to adequate coverage. In this paper, we apply fuzzy logic system to...

The First Analytic Virtual Integration of Cyber - Physical Systems

In this paper, we propose a model-based design approach for developing wireless sensor-actuator networks that can map multiple sets of application-level interactions onto a single networking substrate while still enforcing individual requirements. We use a top-down design approach where the functional requirements for each application are graphically modeled using a tool called SysWeaver. Senso...
